Prof. Hansen Leads Study Abroad to Kwa-Zulu-Natal in South Africa

Agricultural and Biological Engineering Professor Alan Hansen was born in Southern Africa. So, he has longed to take a group of students to his native continent, not only to enjoy the magnificence of nature but also to confront them with a different set of realities in their process of education as engineers. He began making this venture a reality here at UIUC in 2004. This year he did it again, completing a study abroad by spending four weeks with this students in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.
